Install Your PC to TV Converter

by admin on January 8, 2010

Currently, I got a problem that I have to equip a Digital TV Converter Box in my RV(Recreation Vehicle). I am not sure whether does it go on the TV or is it has to connect to a TV Distribution Box that can set aside for me able to exchange signal of my Television’s from satellite/antenna and or cable? Then I found out in order to has my RV works, I have to install a Digital TV Converter Box.

Before Installing the PC to TV Converter

Prior to installation what you have to do is, If you have checked that your RV’s TVs did not have digital tuners, then you will get one one extra length of cable and Digital TV Converter Box for each TV. If you have a VCR that does not have a digital TV tuner, then you have to get an extra length of cable and a converter box for that. While you buy the converter boxes, make sure that they include the option of Analog Pass Through. The reason we needs Analog Pass Through is that it will permits analog signals to cross through the Digital TV Converter Box when it’s turned off. If you are hooked up to the cable at an RV park, or if you want to watch a video or DVD the TV to PC converter Box should be in power off status in order for the analog signal will be able to cross through the converter box and direct to your TV.

Getting a Digital TV Converter Box

If you did not get a Digital TV Converter Box with Analog Pass Through you’ll need to install the switches and essentially be creating a nightmare for yourself for the installation. What you have to understand prior to installation most RVs will get a video switch box come together with buttons and/or knobs which permits you to take numerous video sources for each of the TVs in your RV. But normally there are many selections like Satellite, VCR, Cable, Antenna, DVD, etc.

On the back side of the Video Switch Box you will observe plenty of cables in the box laying around, don’t intimidate by these cables. You will simply be worried about those cables that taking out from the Video Switch Box that going to connect directly to the TVs in your RV.

Depending how our RV is installed together with the Video Switch Box, you may consider to move things further around to allow the back of the pc/tv box where all cables are tangle there altogether. Due to each RV has different configurations, I cannot let you know how hard or how easy it’ll be to get to these cables on the back of the Video Switch Box.

At the back of PC/TV switch box  on each and every of the cables which are either go in or coming out. The converter cables where you’re looking for connecting right away to your Televisions they will marked such as TV1 Out or TV2 Out. The marking can be different depends on the manufacturer. The PC/TV Converter Box will be set up on the cable directing towards your TV from the TV/PC Switching Box. Where you set the PC/TV Converter Box on this cable it will depends on where the TV is actually located.
